Assess why your home hasn’t sold. This can be difficult for sellers, but its important to look at your home from a buyer’s eyes. Is your home priced too high? Does your home lack curb appeal? Is your home in need of repairs? Ask you realtor for an honest assessment. While it can be hard to hear, it is constructive advice that can help you sell your home.

Make some changes. While you can make every necessary change to your West Knoxville home, try making some changes that will be worth the investment. Freshen up the paint. Make necessary repairs. Or, consider using a home stager to help you arrange your home in a way that is appealing to buyer’s. According to the National Association of Realtors, having your home staged can increase you asking price by 1% to 3%, which would increase your return anywhere from 8% to 10%.  A home stager will help you de-clutter your home and set it up in a way that it is appealing to buyers.

Lower the asking price. This can be one of the major reasons a home doesn’t sell. Lowering the price of a home can make a huge difference in the selling power of a West Knoxville home. With the current market being a buyer’s market, buyer’s are looking for a bargain and aren’t likely to buy a home they feel is overpriced.
