The 4th of July holiday is almost upon us. The Knoxville area boasts a wide variety of events to celebrate. Here are what events are going on for the 4th of July in Knoxville 2012.
The City of Knoxville’s 2012 Festival on the 4th. The event takes place in Worlds Fair Park and starts at 2 p.m. and ends at roughly 10 p.m., after the firework display ends. This 4th of July event offers good music, good food, good fun and good times for festival goers. Fireworks start at 9:35 p.m. and are launched from the Henley Street Bridge.
The Town of Farragut’s Annual 4th of July Parade 2012. Farragut will host its 25th annual 4th of July Parade on July 4th, 2012, starting at 9:30 a.m. During this 4th of July event, areas of Kingston Pike in Farragut will be blocked off. A wide range of businesses, schools, and church groups participate in the parade. If you are in the area at that time check it out.
Smokin’ The Water July 4th Celebration 2012. Kingston’s annual 4th of July event begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 10 p.m. with a spectacular fireworks display. There are a wide variety of events going on throughout the day including: live entertainment, wake boarding competitions, activities for kids, and food and craft vendors.
Rockin’ The Docks 2012. Lenoir City will be having its annual fireworks display on June 30, 2012, to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. The 4th of July event takes place in the Lenoir City Park and Cove area. Don’t worry about bringing food or drinks, there many food vendors. The event begins at 4 p.m. with live music and goes until about 10 p.m. until after the fire work display ends.
