‘Tis the season in Knoxville. Thanksgiving is this weekend. The cool winter weather has just begun to set in. It is the time of year for epic holiday shopping adventures, holiday parties, gatherings with family and friends, and enjoying the holiday cheer. The greater Knoxville area has many holiday events for residents to enjoy, here are few that you won’t want to miss this 2013 holiday season.
Come take advantage of Market Square’s full sized ice rink in the heart of downtown. The rink is open from now until January 5, 2014. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for kids. Admission includes skate rental and unlimited time on the ice.

Enjoy the Dicken’s classic at the Clarence Brown Theatre on select days from November 27th to December 15th.
Knoxville Fantasy Of Trees
The Fantasy of Trees takes place this year on November 27th to December 1st. It helps raise money for the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Throughout the weekend there is a wide variety of events, including live music, dancing, and other entertainers that help raise money for the event. The event is held at the Knoxville Convention Center.
First Night Knoxville 2014
There is no better place to celebrate the new year in Knoxville than in Market Square. Watch the ball drop at midnight and enjoy live music, entertainment, and great food at one of the many venues in Market Square. First Night Knoxville is a family friend event perfect for all ages.
Christmas At Chilhowee Park
Come enjoy the Christmas lights at Chilhowee Park. Admission to the event is free and the event is open nightly from December 13th until January 1. Each night there is also live music, refreshments, and activities for kids.
