Knoxville 2017 4th of July Celebrations
The 4th of July holiday is almost upon us. The Knoxville area a plentiful array of things to do to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. If you haven’t decided how to spend your 4th of July holiday this year, here are a few different ways to celebrate this year.
Knoxville’s Festival On The Fourth
This year, the Festival on the 4th, takes place on July 4 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m in Worlds’ Fair Park. The festival is a family friendly event with live entertainment, activities, a live performance by The Temper Evans Band will be performing on the Festival Lawn from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Temper Evans Band is an exciting, five piece progressive Cover band raised on traditional Country Music, with Southern Rock, Blues, Pop, Bluegrass and Gospel Music roots. Fireworks which start at 9:42 p.m.
Pigeon Forge’s Patriot Festival
Pigeon Forge will host their 27th annual Patriot Festival starting on July 4th at noon.
Noon: Free Kids’ Carnival along with food vendors start the festivities off.
1:30 – 9:30: Free entertainment including games along with performances by Departure (Journey Tribute Band) & headliner Thompson Square
9:45: Fireworks Showcase begins!
Farragut’s Annual 4th Of July Parade
Farragut will host its 30th annual 4th of July Parade on July 4th, 2017, starting at 9:30 a.m. During this 4th of July event, areas of Kingston Pike in Farragut will be blocked off. A wide range of businesses, schools, and church groups participate in the parade.
Gatlinburg’s 4th of July Celebration
Gatlinburg starts off their 4th of July celebration with a parade starting at midnight on July 4th. The parade goes through downtown Gatlinburg and honors military heroes and veterans. Gatlinburg continues their 4th of July celebration with a River Raft Regatta. The River Raft Regatta is an unmanned floatable race. Finally, Gatlinburg ends their 4th of July celebration with fireworks starting at 10 p.m. The best viewing areas for the fireworks are around traffic lights 3 and 5.
Smokin’ The Water July 4th Celebration
Kingston’s annual 4th of July event takes place on July 4th and is known for its spectacular fireworks display. There are a wide variety of events going on throughout the day including: live entertainment, wake boarding competitions, activities for kids, and food and craft vendors. The fireworks start at 10 p.m.
Rockin’ The Docks In Lenoir City
Lenoir City will be having its annual fireworks display on July 1, to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. The 4th of July event takes place in the Lenoir City Park and Cove area. Don’t worry about bringing food or drinks, there many food vendors. The event begins at 1 p.m. with live music and goes until about 10 p.m. until after the fire work display ends.
