The 4th of July holiday is almost upon us. The Knoxville area a plentiful array of things to do to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. If you haven’t decided how to spend your 4th of July holiday this year, here are a few different ways to celebrate this year.
This year, the Festival on the 4th takes place on July 4 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m in World’s Fair Park.
Fireworks will start at 9:35 p.m. The event will take place rain or shine. Entry into the event is free of charge. From 4 to 8 p.m., there will be children’s activities and food trucks. The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will play at 8 p.m.
Pigeon Forge will host their annual Patriot Festival starting on July 4th at noon.
The free event includes kids activities, food vendors, and live entertainment. County singer, Craig Morgan, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Firework will start at 9:45 p.m.
Farragut will host its 31st annual 4th of July Parade on July 4th, 2018, starting at 9:30 a.m. During this 4th of July event, areas of Kingston Pike in Farragut will be blocked off. A wide range of businesses, schools, and church groups participate in the parade.
Gatlinburg starts off their 4th of July celebration with a parade starting at midnight on July 4th.
The parade goes through downtown Gatlinburg and honors military heroes and veterans. Attendees are encouraged to arrive on Tuesday to secure a spot to view the parade.
There will also be performances by Hard Knox from at 6 p.m. on July 3rd and the 100th Army Band Concert at 9 p.m. on July 4th. Both concerts will take place at the Ripley’s Aquarium Plaza.
There will be a fireworks display starting at 10 p.m. on the 4th of July. The best viewing area for the fireworks is between traffic lights #3 and #5.
Kingston’s annual 4th of July event takes place on July 4th and is known for its spectacular fireworks display.
This event is free for the whole family. There are a wide variety of events going on throughout the day including live entertainment, wakeboarding competitions, activities for kids, and food and craft vendors. The fireworks start at 10 p.m.
There will also be live music performances by Johnny Neel, Roayl Hounds, Cerisus Bright, and the Temper Evans Band.
Lenoir City will be having its annual fireworks display on Saturday, June 30, to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. The 4th of July event takes place in the Lenoir City Park and Cove area.
Don’t worry about bringing food or drinks, there many food vendors. The event begins at 1 p.m. with live music and goes until about 10 p.m. until after the firework display ends.
