Enjoy the Holiday Festival of Lights
The Cove at Concord Park at 11808 S. Northshore Dr., Knoxville
The Holiday Festival of Lights, in its 24th year, is open nightly throughout December. It’s also a free event! You can stroll through the mile-long park loop while enjoying some fantastic displays. On Mondays, lights are only accessible by train, so make sure to hop on with your family.
You can also donate to their partner organization, The Love Kitchen, while you’re there! The festival begins at 6:00 pm, and admission is free.
Experience Knoxville’s Holidays On Ice

Experience the Holidays on Ice when you’re in Knoxville this holiday season.
You’ll have a blast skating with friends, family, or someone special in Knoxville’s Market Square.
Have fun skating under the stars while listening to music every night. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Peppermint Panda (their Holidays on Ice Mascot). The venue is open Mondays to Thursdays, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. each ticket costs $12 for adults and $9 for children 12 years and under.
Explore Downtown Knoxville on the Peppermint Trail
Downtown Knoxville
The Peppermint Trail is one of the most exciting ways to explore Downtown Knoxville during the holidays. It’s a self-guided tour where you can follow the peppermints on the sidewalks and find all sorts of treats.
You’ll also find dozens of boutiques and gift shops on the trail! Each has its unique way of celebrating the holidays with peppermint-themed t-shirts, candles, scented soaps, and all kinds of surprises.
Start at Market Square and follow it throughout Downtown or explore one block at a time. There are many possibilities, with 90 businesses participating. Admission is free!
