Spring is here! Now is a great time to get out and enjoy Farragut’s hiking and walking trails. And this is why I love Farragut, Tennessee so much. As a developer, you HAVE to connect your subdivision to the Farragut Parks and Greenways. I use it all the time. With that said, May has arrived. That’s why today I’m going to share some of my favorite spots to enjoy.

1. Mayor Bob Leonard Park

Mayor Bob Leonard Park is a 52-acre recreational park located in Farragut. There are bunch of amenities, including sports fields, playgrounds, and picnic areas. One of the best things for hikers is its extensive network of trails. They are quite nice. I like how they meander through the lush woods and open meadows.

The park’s trails are well-marked and maintained, making them great for hikers of all skill levels. The paths are comprehensive. Also, they are easy to navigate, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

2. Farragut Greenway

The Farragut Greenway is a 4.5-mile trail. It is essential to the area as it connects parks and green spaces in Farragut. This  trail is perfect for bo1. Located on the shores of Lake Loudoun, Anchor Park spans 7 acres. Let me tell you, it offers breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. This is the ideal destination for hiking and picnicking.

Anchor Park is an ideal spot for a delightful family outing or a day out with friends. With its well-equipped picnic areas, featuring picnic tables, grills, and restroom facilities, you can enjoy a memorable outdoor experience.

5. McFee Park

McFee Park, located in Farragut, is a spacious 26-acre park. It offers a variety of recreational activities, such as sports fields, playgrounds, and a splash pad. The park also boasts a lovely 0.7-mile walking trail. It is here that hikers unwind and immerse themselves in nature’s beauty. Myself included.

The walking trail located in McFee Park is a great option for people of all ages and abilities as it is conveniently paved. The trail is situated amidst beautiful greenery and provides a serene atmosphere, perfect for leisurely or brisk walks.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly outdoor space, McFee Park is a great option. It offers restrooms, picnic pavilions, and a playground, providing all the necessary amenities for a fun day out. The park also holds various community events throughout the year.

Like I said earlier, Farragut, Tennessee has one of the BEST park systems and walking trails in Knoxville. I myself use the system on a regular basis. My real estate career keeps me active, yet there’s NOTHING like getting out on the Farragut walking or hiking trails. They relax you. They’re GREAT for your health. And it’s beautiful.
